GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Resistance thermometers are used in industries where precise temperature measurement is required.
It is used in places. It is based on the change of electrical resistance of the conductor depending on temperature. A resistance detector wrapped in thin platinum or nickel wire insulated in enamel, glass or ceramic is used as the conductor. The detector gives 100 ohm resistance output at 0 °C. Temperature is determined by measuring increasing or decreasing values.
Copper, silver or nickel-chrome connection wires are added to both ends of the resistance detector. It can be used from (-)200 °C to (+) 850 °C.
Analog output information is taken with pt100 sensors in accordance with EN60751 and evaluated in the automation system.
Resistance thermometers can make accurate measurements
It is recommended to have a plunge length of 6 to 15 times the plunge diameter.
Copper or Silver between Pt 100 and terminal block up to 500 °C,
After 550 °C, Nickel chrome wire is used. A copper conductor wire is used between the device and the pt100. 10 m. up to 2 wires, 150 m. It should be 3-wire up to 150 meters and 4-wire after 150 meters.
