General features

Microprocessor controller in 48x48 (1/16 DIN) format manufactured using SMT.

The device provides a complete operator interface protected by a Lexan membrane providing IP65 level front panel protection.

There are 4 keys, two green LED displays with 4 digits each, 4 red indicator LEDs for 4 logic or relay outputs and 3 more LEDs that can be programmed to indicate various operating states of the device.

The main input for the process variable is universal and provides the possibility to connect many types of input sensors: thermocouple type J, K, R, S, T, B, E, N, Ni-Ni18Mo, L; resistance thermometer Pt100 3-wire; thermistor PTC; 0-50mV, 10-50mV, 2-10V, 0-10V, 0-20mA, 4-20mA and potentiometer, all linear inputs with special linearization facility that can be defined using the front keys.

  • It is possible to activate the correction of the input using a linear function defined by two points on it.

The input type is selected from the front panel keys and no external shunt or adapter is required.

A second auxiliary isolated analog input is available that can be configured for a linear input (0-10V, 2-10V, 0-20mA / 4-20mA) for remote setpoint, potentiometer or current transformer.

The auxiliary input functionality is fully configurable, including a custom linearization possibility. It is possible to configure 2 available isolated digital inputs for selection of up to 4 local set points; starting, stopping and resetting the internal timer; Auto / Man, Loc / Rem functions; alarms memory reset; entry hold function.

The device can have up to 4 relay (3A / 250V) or logic (12Vdc, 20mA) outputs and up to 2 isolated analog outputs at voltage or current.

The function of each outlet can be fully configured with the faceplate.

Functions available include: control output, alarm output, timer, digital input repeat, retransmission of process value, setpoints, deviation, alarm setpoint or value read from digital communication.

Another isolated output (10 or 24Vdc, 30mA max) is available to power external transmitters or potentiometers.

RS485 serial communication interface (RS232C compatible) makes it possible to read or change any parameters and to manage the device online (local / remote manual / automatic commutation, internal timer control, direct control of outputs).

Available protocols: MODBUS RTU and CENCAL (Gefran).

Optional serial communications can be Current Loop, RS232 or RS485, while the protocol can be selected between Gefran (Cencal) and Modbus.

It is possible to write to any instrument parameter using them.

All programming procedures of the device are facilitated by grouping parameters into function blocks (CFG for control parameters, Inp for inputs, Out for outputs, etc.) and the possibility to choose a simplified menu for input. the most commonly used parameters.

To simplify configuration even further, a programming kit for PC is available, which includes a menu-driven configuration program for Windows and the cable required to connect the device (see data sheet code 80021)
